Business Analyst Controlling (FP&A)

What are the Job duties

As Business Analyst Controlling you are responsible for serving the project organization by standardizing and structuring, designing, implementing and optimizing project and FP&A related processes, as well as tools and templates with focus on value optimization. You will be driving the definition and maintenance of the financial standards for IT as an organization as well as projects and will participate in the review of project costs and value management. You are a counterpart for controlling, discussing project and program costs and benefits and liaises with executive stakeholders for strategic alignment. You will facilitate successful delivery of projects by providing concise and clear project portfolio reporting, tracking, Capex, Opex, budgeting and a wide scope of other financials and reporting.  Changes to the portfolio to optimize the value and ROI best aligned to the strategy, market developments and competition are activities in the role. As a business Analyst you wil actively find and review new opportunities focusing on data monetization, partnerships and will have the opportunity to grow our capabilities and enrich our business modles with new initiatives.

What skills do you need:

You have a great oversight and know when to take a helicopter view. You are someone who is organized, efficient and able to work unsupervised under your own initiative. You have a strong personality who is not afraid to take any difficult decisions.

Further requirements:

  • Experience with Project/Program and portfolio management and methodology (PMO) preferably in a public transport organization able to understand data, products and services;
  • Experience as Controller as well as Business Analyst controlling budgets exceeding 100 MIO;
  • Experience with various forms of development lifecycles;
  • Experience in finding and analysing new opportunities and partnerships to feed our data monetization ambition;
  • Experience in servicing internal stakeholders to achieve successful project execution is preferred;
  • Minimum bachelor's degree/equivalent diploma or related qualification;
  • Understanding of the principles of successful project management, having worked in Agile development environments;
  • Structured thinker, good in problem solving and organizing;
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills;
  • Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), can write macros and understands in- and exporting of data formats.

  • A bonus based on operating result with a maximum of 20%;
